About ComfortWave

We built ComfortWave because we lived the problem. Heating pads that fall off. Painkillers that take an hour to kick in. Missed work, cancelled plans, and the quiet exhaustion of managing period pain alone every month.

Our story

ComfortWave started in 2023 when our founder — a product designer with endometriosis — decided to stop waiting for someone else to solve it. She spent months researching heat therapy, massage, and cycle tracking before building the first prototype on her kitchen table.

The feedback from that first round of beta testers was clear: targeted heat and gentle vibration, worn discreetly, changed how people experienced their cycles. We refined the design through three more iterations before launching publicly in 2024.

What we make

The ComfortWave massager combines targeted heat therapy with gentle vibration to ease cramps, lower-back tension, and abdominal discomfort. It's designed to be worn under clothing so you can get relief without pausing your day.

Alongside the hardware, we built Flowly— a free period and mood tracking app that helps you understand your cycle patterns, predict bad days in advance, and share a symptom report with your doctor when you need it.

Our values

  • Evidence-basedEvery product claim is grounded in research on heat therapy and pain physiology, not marketing copy.
  • Private by defaultYour cycle data is yours. Flowly never sells your health data, and you can delete everything at any time.
  • Designed for real lifeComfort tools should work while you work, parent, commute, and exist — not only when you can lie still.
